What do you want to know?

So what is a LAN party?
A LAN party is a group of like minded gamers who gather in a place with their computers connected over a network to play games and be merry.

Who can go?
Anyone at all but no under 14s, if you are uder 16 you require a consent form completed by a parent/guardian. A consent form is available here

If I don't have transport how can I get there?
Check the attendee page (here) people who have posted they can offer a lift are worth contacting via the forum.

What do I need to bring with me?
Yourself and:

You need to bring the following:

  • Your computer and peripherals
  • Base unit with network card
  • Recommended: 1.2Ghz or >, 256MB RAM, 20GB Hdd, 64MB GFX or above
  • Monitor/TFT
  • Keyboard and Mouse, Joystick
  • Headphones [Speakers are NOT allowed]
  • Power strips with at least 4 sockets enough to run your PC, Monitor etc
  • Game and System CD's [You never know what will happen]
  • Bedding
  • Camp bed
  • Inflatable mattress
  • Sleeping bag

Will I be able to have a shower over the weekend?
Yes, the venue has showers, and they are available through the entire weekend.

Will I be able to park my car off the road?
Yes there is adequate car parking space off the road next to the venue.

Will food be available?
There will be a meal voucher system which will require pre-payment, more information on the voucher system and the menu will be posted on this site soon.
We plan to offer snacks where available and arrange for a local pizza parlor to deliver to us. There are various take-away establishments in Swaffham which is only 6 miles away, details will be available at the admin desk.

What is the policy on alcohol?
There is a licensed bar at the venue, who serve the usual tipples, including some very tasty guest ales. We ask for people not to bring their own alcohol. Anyone who appears to be partaking of too much of the juice and causing a nuisance to other attendees will be asked to leave.

What else is there to do?
We are planning a great number of other events to keep you amused over the 3 days. More details can be seen on the next event page (here).

Will there be any organised tournaments?
Yes we plan to run: UT 2K4, CoD, Battle Field 1942 plus any others that are requested, however only kudos as a prize may be offered for tourns that are not pre-arranged.

How many places are there?
There are up to 80 places available [excluding staff and servers]

Do I need to bring a seat with me?
Seating is provided but you can bring your own seat with you.

Can I bring my tent and camp near the event?
Yes you can bring and camp next to the venue in a dedicated camp area.

How do I pay for the event?
We plan to offer a FastPay online payment facility four weeks before each event. If you wish to pay by another means or pay on the day, please contact a member of the admin team info@zombielan.co.uk

If, god forbid I have paid but then can't come and want a refund how does that work?
If you are unable to attend please contact the Zombie[LAN] management team to discuss the options. A full refund will be given if you contact us and receive an acknowledgment from an administrator 7 days before the event.
