I got an email today claiming that I own gamedominion.co.uk, saying that gamedominion.com will expire soon and would I like to buy it for $blah. Out of interest, I clicked on to gamedominion.co.uk and it turns out that it redirects to zombielan.co.uk.
Why would someone think that I own zombielan?
On top of that, gamedominion.com is unregistered, and gamedominion.co.uk expired on 6th December and needs renewing if you want to keep it.

HAHAHA I got that e-mail too, although why you got it is beyond me!!!
GameDominion is the name of the old cyber cafe I worked for  also blade was trying to buy it about a year ago but I think that is water under the bridge.

I owned gamedominion.co.uk for 2 years and when my hosting expired I changed it to a re-direct. No ideas why you've all got emails, I got them but have been ingnoring them to.

They were quoting me $199 for gamedominion.com, but as I said it's actually currently unregistered, so I could have got it for about $5 on my own if I'd wanted it. Perhaps they were a little late sending out the "will expire soon" email?
There are a lot of these domain squatters which are basically extortionists. They get a computer to endlessly two-week trial a domain and keep it for free, then try to sell them for hundreds or thousands of dollars. Or, like these guys, they monitor the whois database for expiring domains, and email the listed admins (doesn't explain me getting the email) of other similar domains to see if they want it for hundreds of dollars. If not, or if it gets renewed, they lose nothing!
It's despicable.
