Found out about this lan randomly the other week.
Not exactly the I-series but it still looks pretty cool.

I presume you only play the games stated on your website? I personally beleive that if you had a counter strike: source tournament you would gain alot of kudos from alot of people Wink

hi, welcome to the forum

personally, i prefer this lan to the bigger I series, as its smaller and more sociable, but thats personal preference

the games listed is only a small portion of what we actually play at the lan. we play a wide variety, and some of the listed games don't even get played anymore. its sort of a 'you say the game we play it' event. we've ended up playing no end of random games which then become a regularity

as for CS, we used to play it religiously, including tournaments, but with newer games released, it got boring, and i'd like to think CS is now lan banned Smile

. we've had people come to lans and do nothing but play CS, against bots mostly too, which is not a fun thing to do, especially when everyone else in the room is playing something else.

you should see about coming to one of our next events and see how you get on, its a good event really Smile

I beleive my teammate marcus should be coming up from somerset for the event.

Do you offer any cash prizes in the tournaments?

we used to offer prizes for tournaments, however we don't often anymore because our numbers are a bit slack and the cost of venue has to be covered primarily

What is your average attendance numbers?

And, have you ever thought about trying to get sponsored by someone like roccat?

My friend bret set up a website not even a year ago, kind of a small cadred clone. within 2 months he was sponsored by roccat and steelseries. If I remember right, he asked for approx 20 random periph's and they sent him like 50 different bits and peices.

Just an Idea to throw out.

Of course, being a complete nerd (semi pr0 gam3r. level designer (And not even old enough to buy counter strike Razz

) could be of some use to you guys? I'd be more than happy to help with that kind of thing.

we get about 15 members each lan now, not many at all

as the website lists, we were once sponsored by over revs, not sure what happened to that though
and we were also sponsored by alienware for 1 event, but we dont have the numbers for them to care

but to be honest, most of us don't care for this sort of thing. we go there for laughs, not for prizes. although a bonus once in a while is nice

Well if you'd like, once I've finished off a scripted sequence for half life 2 (should only take a couple of days), Do you want me to find you a small sponsor? at the very least its some free gaming gear for the admins Razz

Hi and welcome to the forum.

We dont play CSS anymore I still have it on the server though, well CSS at least.

The games on the website are an outline, the last few events we have had a structure to the events, if you look at a previous event you can see the gaming schedule, there is also a pub quiz and a BBQ.

As has been said, we end up playing all sorts of games from Risk to Serious Sam, to Teeworlds.

Some events will just be one game, one event we just played CoD4.

But if you want a server for a game, if I know before hand I can get it sorted out.

We also do not have an internet connection at the event, so please make sure your steam works offline fully before attending.
